In class we will be learning about the different parts of speech and how they interact with each other in a meaningful way.
In November, we will be studying: Future Perfect Tense, Modals, Subordinating Conjunctions, and Reflexive Pronouns. Future Perfect Tense Verbs (will + have + past participle) talks about the past in the future. (ex: I will have finished my test before going to bed.) Modal is a type of auxiliary verb that is used to indicate the likelihood, ability, permission, and obligation of something. (ex: Thomas might want to stay the night at the hotel.) Subordinating Conjunctions join a main clause with a subordinate clause (ex: Jill came tumbling after Jack fell down the hill.) Reflexive Pronouns These pronouns reflect, look back on, the subject of the sentence.(ex:John took a picture of himself.) |
